A few of the many activities in and around Koh Samui 

Koh Samui Inter-Island trip:  This is a fun day trip of  swimming, snorkeling and cruising in the sun on a long tailed fishing boat. Visit some small islands near the south west side of Koh Samui. The most popular are the islands of Koh Tan and Matsum. Have the Sandalwood front desk staff contact a long tail boat that will leave from the town of Tong Krut.  Leave in the morning and get picked up late afternoon.  

Sailing in Koh Samui: From November to May, stronger westerly winds challenge windsurfers, and from December to April there is a strong northeast wind .Sailing crafts such as yachts and catamarans are widely available for rent. Ask Sandalwood front desk for some choices. 

Koh Samui Kayaking: The Angthong islands grouped halfway between Samui and the mainland offers the best paddling expedition in the gulf. It is a sanctuary for marine life as well as land animals and birds. Kayaking trips are available and offered daily by tour companies.

Muay Thai lessons in Koh Samui: Like aerobics, Muay Thai is a good fitness sport, and you can easily learn it.  Muay Thai is a fast-paced contact sport based on traditional Thai boxing styles, but recently it became a new rage in fitness for men and women of all ages. Thai cooking lessons at Sandalwood Villa: Thai food has become very popular worldwide. So while you are here, take time out to learn Thai cooking class with our chef.  She has many years experience In Thai cooking and carving fruits and vegetables. We can provide a day tour to go shopping at the market in morning, and then come back to prepare foods. After that you can start cooking with our chef and enjoy your meal.

Bungy at Koh Samui: an adrenaline pumping thrill seeker’s sport, Bungy jumping is only for those who can conquer their fears, the buggy platform hovers high in Chaweng Beach near the Reggae Pub.  www.samuibungyjump.com 

Koh Samui Diving and Snorkeling: The underwater world is waiting for those who want more challenging water sports. Just make sure you seek the services of PADI certified companies.  Beside the underwater sea life around Koh Samui island, the most popular dive sites are those found around Koh Tao. We will be happy to make arrangements that are appropriate to you skill level when you are here. Snorkeling equipment can be provided here at the hotel. Coral Cove beach, right down the road from us is a nice snorkeling spot. 

Elephant trekking:  Koh Samui landscape can be seen 3 meters above the ground on the back of an elephant. Jungle treks include passing by waterfalls, under coconut trees, and through tropical nature, and usually last for 30 minutes, but longer trips can be arranged.  Inquire about the different treks at our front desk. 

ATV tours around Koh Samui Island: All Terrain Vehicles, or quads, as commonly called, are fun to ride. An ATV tour will lead you through a long stretch of mud that leads to the Pagoda Leam Sor.  This is a beautiful place of worship located on a stretch of beach overlooking Koh Tan and a rubber plantation. Go Kart racing at Koh Samui: Exciting go carts offers 2 categories: for beginner and advanced riders .Samui go kart is open from 9 AM. to 9 PM.
